Note: The information in this article only applies to customers enrolled on a community solar farm with a consolidated billing model. Customers with a dual bill model should view this separate article.
Soon after your share of a community solar farm begins producing energy, you begin receiving solar credits on your monthly Ameren bills in exchange for the solar energy that was generated.
Each credit you receive is applied as a deduction on your electric bill with your discounted charge included - this ensures you still always save money each month by being a Solstice customer! Though we aim to cover as much of your typical annual electric cost as possible, please note your community solar savings may not always fully cover what you owe for your electric costs.
On your monthly Ameren bills, the solar energy and credit value generated by your portion of the solar farm appear in the "Renewable Generation" section. Within that section, the line item named "Total NM Off-Site Gen Credit Applied" shows the current month's total credit value applied to your bill, including any banked (carryover) credits from prior months if applicable. More information provided by Ameren can be found here.
Around 1-2 months after you receive each credit, Solstice sends you a credit explainer to detail how much you saved. You can see your savings, positive environmental impact, and much more by logging in to your Solstice account at app.solstice.us.
