As a Solstice customer, you continue to receive your electricity from your utility provider as usual, but we save you money! Soon after your share of a community solar farm begins producing energy, you start receiving solar credits on your monthly utility bills for the solar energy you generated.
Each credit you receive is applied as a deduction from your total electric cost on your ConEd bill. You'll find your community solar credit listed as an adjustment in the section titled "Your Bill Breakdown" at the top of your bill. For more information about locating your credits on your bills, please see this article.
Here's how the process works:
- Your credit and the discounted charge will both be applied to your monthly ConEd bills.
- You will receive credit explainers from Solstice approximately 1-2 months after each credit is applied. Credit explainers are statements that detail the credit and charge ConEd previously applied to your bill.
Please note that ConEd has been facing challenges with crediting on a monthly basis. If there are months when you do not see a credit, it will be applied at a later date.
