As an RG&E customer enrolled in community solar, you will continue to receive your electricity from RG&E as usual while enjoying the benefits of solar energy. Once your share of the community solar farm starts producing energy, you will receive solar credits on your monthly RG&E bills for the solar energy you generate.
These solar credits will be applied as deductions from your total electric cost on your RG&E bill. You can find them in the "Electricity Delivery Charges" and "Electricity Supply Charges" sections of your bill.
You pay for each credit you receive at a discounted rate, ensuring you always save on your monthly electric costs. You can find your specific discounted rate in your Solstice contract.
Here’s how the process works:
- Your credit will be applied to your monthly RG&E bills. Please see this article for more information about locating your credit.
- You will receive separate invoices from Solstice approximately 1-2 months after each credit is applied. Invoices detail the credit you previously received on your RG&E bill and the discounted charge you owe Solstice for that credit.
- Solstice will charge you via autopay from the default payment method linked to your Solstice account.
You can see your billing history, savings, positive environmental impact, and much more by logging in to your Solstice account at app.solstice.us. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at support@solstice.us or 845-853-0768.
