To get rooftop solar, you’ll have to check off a few boxes. First, you’ll need to own your home. You’ll also need a suitable roof for solar, meaning it faces the right direction and isn’t shaded by obstacles like trees or other buildings. Lastly, you’ll need a good credit score (usually above 680) and enough savings to handle the upfront cost of installation.
If you’ve got these things covered, rooftop solar might be for you! However, not all states allow you to have both rooftop solar and a community solar subscription. Solstice does not offer rooftop solar, but if you're a Solstice customer and you're considering getting rooftop solar, reach out to us at support@solstice.us or 845-853-0768 and we'll discuss how to move forward with your account.
