Soon after your share of a community solar farm begins producing energy, you begin receiving solar credits on your monthly ComEd electric bills.
Each credit is applied as a deduction, which helps you save on your electric costs! Though we aim to cover as much of your typical annual electric cost as possible, your monthly credit may not always fully cover what you owe to your utility.
On your ComEd bill, you'll find your community solar credit in the "Renewable Community Supply Details" section of your bill. In this section, you will also be able to see the name of your solar farm, the period the solar energy was generated by the farm, and the amount generated in kWh. Remember, credits are only discounted from the supply portion of your bill and are not applied to delivery charges.
